Bernadette Davis is a student of Broadcast Radio and launched her first radio show, “Three Hours with Sparkle,” at the age of 15. She worked closely with her mentors in the radio industry to write and produce her daily on-air show, which aired on a local hometown radio station. During her three hour radio show, she provided news, traffic, weather, sports highlights, and more.
The cultured broadcaster is a professionally trained voice over artist with over 20 years of Broadcast Radio and TV experience. She has voiced local and national projects that include; commercials, e-learning, corporate and training voice over’s, narrations, medical narrations, ADR, promos, and consumer reports. Davis has a passion for telling stories and brings her warm, conversational, upbeat, and authoritative voice-over styles to client’s projects.
Her years of experience in radio and television have taught her to be timely with every project; so she works with commercial, promo, and consumer clients to ensure high quality voice tracks are in most cases received the same day.
Communications Specialist
Bernadette Davis has a Bachelor of Science, in Mass Media Communications with an emphasis on Broadcast Journalism, from Oral Roberts University. She served as a staff writer for the college newspaper, “The Oracle,” and has a portfolio of published articles. Davis also voiced countless projects for Oral Roberts University, including the revitalization of Fred Creek, e-learning tutorials, and commercials for the university.
She interned with CNN Headline News during her junior year of college and helped with many voice over translations (ADR). During her internship with CNN, she worked alongside news industry leaders learning and soaking up all of the knowledge concerning ethical journalism, content creation and the broadcast news industry.
After graduation, she worked at an NBC affiliate and contributed web content, wrote and reported for consumer segments. The cultured creative has also served in public relations, digital content, marketing, and copywriting. The creative writer has also worked as a free-lance journalist and has published articles with print and digital media outlets in the Mid-South.
The seasoned journalist has a passion for healthy living and is currently a Health Journalist and works with Radio, TV stations, and Healthcare entities to provide compelling health and wellness stories.
